No Longer There

Grip the sheets,
in heart break and in pain,
unfair, scream, unfair...
No longer there,
besides you,
no longer there.

Moving on,
changing skies,
changing tides,
growing up,
from boy to man...

Rain down the sobs,
puddles, lakes, oceans,
gather between us, pooled
in my pillow....
no longer there,
in your arms,
no longer there.

Gone away,
nowhere near home,
in a place of higher learning,
lofty ivory towers of theirs,
I want to return,
but not now, not with
anyplace for a man like me.

Clutching the scars,
ripped fabric, torn to the wind,
my heart, how long has it been,
without the touch of you...
no longer here,
to laugh in your arms,
no longer there...

Faded away,
no longer a white noise,
no longer who I was,
now a broken shell of who I am.
I'm not right anymore,
no longer him,
now I am who I am.

Twisted vines of cheap iron,
your body convulses,
or mine - mind,
no longer here,
for you,
no longer there.

Why for me?

This hammering, burning
sensation of confusion,
moment of regret.

This binding of hands & feet,
plucking out of eyes,
scourging of whips,
crown on your head,
noose around my neck.

Personal death, freed from damnation,
shouts from whispers, moisture from heat,
the rood, the tree, our heaven, the kingdom,
up high, forever,
INRI,
holy holy are thee.

No Longer just a Grain of Sand

Small and insignificant,
hidden among the rest,
You were there with me,
but you hid well my friend.

With each challenge life throws my way,
you'll be there, holding my hand,
never letting go, never going away.

With each new challenge,
with more experience and strength arise,
if the heavens permit, please,
stay by my side.

Near or far, you'll try your hardest,
with heart so pure and fair and full,
I'm glad I can see you now,
you're above the rest.

As the time ebbs and flows with life's waves,
I will grow old and weak,
you say you'll be by my side,
even when life's breath fades and we turn grey.

No longer a just a grain of sand,
you have stood out from the rest,
I love you dear friend,
a love that others see firsthand.

You're no longer a grain of sand,
you're my diamond,
found in times of rough,
welcome to Heaven my friend,
population: us.

Ten to Nowhere

Take a turn onto a dusty road,
watch the sun fall beneath the land,
driving home to get to you. The road's been
long and bumpy, each day getting harder to drive on closer to you...

We're ten to nowhere,
nothing holding us back from each other.
We're ten to nowhere,
holding you in my arms.
We're ten to nowhere,
living comfortably with one another.

I'm looking out at the fields,
the sun is making the sky pink.
Its been to long since I've seen you,
I can't wait till, I can't wait till, I can't wait till
I'm home, holding you in my arms.

We're ten to nowhere,
nothing and no one holding us back.
We're ten to nowhere,
holding you in my arms.
We're ten to nowhere,
living comfortably with one another.

We're ten to nowhere,
we're ten to nowhere,
we're ten to nowhere,
we're ten to nowhere...

Weclome!
